In his day to day role as CTO of Twistlock, John Morello blends his CISO pedigree with a prescient view of the future of enterprise cloud technologies. Instead of seeing containers and cloud infrastructure as inherently less secure, John viewed the unique technology of containers coupled with the processes that accompany devops related practices as a unique opportunity to provide better, scalable security. This approach is required in the modern world, where software is delivered faster than ever before, and the concept of infrastructure has dramatically changed.

A self-proclaimed "public school guy", John is passionate about building out a more modern curricula for cybersecurity. In fact, in May 2018 he established a Twistlock outpost at Louisiana State University’s Innovation Park in order to pay off this vision. John lives in Louisiana with his wife and two young sons. A passionate fisherman and scuba diver, he also serves as Chairman of the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
